Hello, I am Sonja Marie, a passionate people professional and a creative self-starter. Born in Hamburg/Germany in a family of entrepreneurs and creative minds I decided to study abroad and deepen my knowledge in International Relations and Business Studies with a focus on people and development within organizations. My first job brought me to Amsterdam where I spent the last 10 years gaining my professional experience in large companies. During my work I had the opportunity to work within both highly operational and head office environments and learn everything about the HR function from the shop floor.
In 2021, I decided to take on a new adventure and start my own HR niche consulting firm. As my own entrepreneur, I am often in control and get a lot of energy from working with different teams, organizations and can look inside a diverse portfolio of clients and business sectors. This way I can actively contribute to a modern working world that has a focus on the right talents and capabilities at the right place and thus contributes to the happiness, productivity and creativity of employees and organizations. Personally, I get a lot of energy from working with a result-oriented team and to work together on new, innovative and out of the box solutions for problems of the current labor market. At home I like to spend time with my family (2 children) and friends (abroad and in the neighborhood), enjoy the outdoors and discover new cultures and cities during travels whenever possible. And for a fantastic Italian ice cream you can also wake me up at night.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
HR Business Partnering
HR Member of the intercultural MT (Dutch and German team, Talent Development, Talent Pipeline building, Training (giving & developing), shaping strategy, functioning as cross border sparring partner for my MT colleagues and senior management at HQ. In my HRBP role I was HR Lead for the Operations team (full employee cycle) and in charge of all strategic programs and policy implementation of our HQ guidelines.
HR Expertise (e.g. Rewards)
Assessing, managing and developing the (digital) benefits program for all 100.000 plus employees in the Netherlands and Belgium. Safeguarding that the benefits offered matched our employee groups and helped the business in retaining the right talent.
Project Management
Responsibility for conducting a cross European HR analysis project in close alignment with the local HR MT. Running a cross country analysis, co- creating a road-map to become an HR services organization of the future with all European HR teams involved. Safeguarding fit & cultural sensitivity during the process and in drafting the right solution for the business.
Change Management
Introducing total talent management to the EU organization of AD and driving cross country HR projects with a focus on transforming the (HR) organization into a future proof (digital and interconnected European) talent organization.
